SPECIAL OFFERINGS

In Kerala tradition, the devotees do not themselves perform the poojas. They bring various articles for worship and the temple priests offer them to Lord with mantras (sacred recitation). They are returned to the devotee with some flowers picked from the altar of the Lord as a blessing. Offerings may be made in any form as the devotee wish. Some of the usual offerings are mentioned here.

UDAYASTHAMANA  POOJA

This is the most coveted and dearest of all poojas. This is an offering which involves special poojas and illuminations (continuous Pooja from dawn to dusk). This is offered for the fulfillment of the wishes in response to the divine grace received. The booking of the Udayasthamana pooja is closed.

KRISHNANATTAM - Krishnanattam is regarded as  an act of piety (religious sentiments). Manavedan presented it as a routine offering to the Lord. Devotees can offer this as a Vazhipad and it is staged inside the temple between 10.00 pm and 3.00 am.  The various benefits of Krishnanattam as an offering are listed here.

Avatharam for a birth of a child
Kaliyamardhanam to remove the effect of poison
Rasakreeda well being of unmarried girls, to end disputes between couples
Kamsavaddham to remove enemies
Swayamvaram for a happy matrimony
Bana yuddham to remove impoverishment, for good farm production
